Whoa! This is so awesome! Apparently there’s a park in Roxbury, NJ called Field Station: Dinosaurs that holds a number of animatronic dinosaurs meant to teach kids (and adults) about dinosaurs! Field Station: Dinosaurs also has the world’s largest animatronic dinosaur on site and kids get to experience real-sized dinosaurs in a safe environment where they won’t get eaten (but they might get scared).

and instead of being hokey, good old classic movie fun, it was actually AMAZING andstress-fully effective. I almost seized up with anticipation and fear during the scene on the electric fence, because I had no memory of the film and no idea how close of a call the turnout would be and how much it would play with the viewer’s expectations. Spielberg really stands the test of time. Also, I will never not love Sam Neill and Jeff G. Now I must read the book.
